I’m 19. I’m married. So no rude and immature answers. I have low risk HPV and pre-cancerous cells on my cervix but my gyno assures me that I am still able to have children. MY husband and I have been TTC for 9 months and it still hasn’t happened. Any ideas?

Well, good health doesn’t guarantee that everything is working right. He may have sperm issues (its really the first test you should have done because its one simple test for the guy and its a long expensive and sometimes invasive process to test the woman for issues).
Because you have HPV, I’d wonder if you’d had other infections in the past that might have caused scarring? You might want to ask about having your tubes checked.
However, I wouldn’t worry about any of this until the 1 year mark. It just takes some people time.
I would definitely recommend charting your BBT (basal body temp) which can show you if you are ovulating and if your cycle phases are appropriate lengths and show you if you are timing sex right.
Also, sex every other day is better than daily… sperm need time to regenerate properly (once you’ve had him tested and he’s got good results, you can go at it all you want.. but until you know his sperm is good then you don’t want to risk it).
Hope that helps, send me an email if you have other questions.
I’m 28 been TTC for almost 10 months.. have a friend who is 23 who has been TTC for 11 months.

Your gynecologist is the best qualified to explain the facts to you. Some afflictions like diabetes, and many different STDs can cause infertility. Your ovaries may not be functioning properly, or your hormones may be out of whack. But we’re only guessing here on Yahoo. Your gynecologist is the one to talk to.
