My wife and I had IUI treatment a couple of weeks ago. We have found out we are pregnant and were told by the fertility clinic to come in for a scan at 6 1/2 weeks, hopefully to hear a heartbeat. I know that normally my wife would be entitled to paid time off work [...]

I know that normally my wife would be entitled to paid time off work for antenatal appointments but would this scan be included as it’s not the antenatal department?
We have a letter of proof although it just says fertility follow up scan.

My wife is worried she won’t be able to get the time off (either paid or unpaid) is this right??
