I am older ttc, 38 years old. Been trying for 4 months now with no luck. Basically, I have been ovulating and bd’ing on the rght days. If nothing happens this month I will call my regular ob/gyn for a checkup. How much can he help me? Do I go to him first and then get a referal to a RE immediately. I don’t want to waste time now. I feel like I will be needing IUI with injectables or should I go straight to IVF.

Just wondering if anyone knows what factors weigh the most heavily on causing infertility?

We are planning on trying to start a family this year, but I feel like the cards are stacked against me. I have hypothyroidism, a cyst on my ovary and precancerous cells on my cervix. All of these issues "may cause infertility", so I have a meeting with my OB/GYN to talk through it. I’m just trying to gauge how serious these things may be to mentally prepare myseld ahead of time.
