Hormone Infertility » blood tests

i.u.i. or i.c.s.i.? anybody had either? this might be our next option x?

we have just been to see the fertility specialist (urologist) and my partner has got to have some blood tests and an ultrasound of his testicles. he said my partner is a borderline case of ‘immunological infertility’ but didn’t really seem that concerned about it. he said years ago they would normally treat this with steroids but now adays they don’t like to use them especially in young men as they can cause hip problems and severe personality change. so he suggested depending on the results of the above tests, our options will be i.u.i or i.c.s.i. anybody experienced these before? are they successful? thankyou x

hi there!just wonderd if anyone could help me my husband and i have been referd to our local infertility clinic,weve been trying to concieve for 17months now.I have irregular periods and dont ovulate every month! and we dont know what to expect!does anyone know what kind of tests they’ll do?ive already had a thyroid test and blood tests done, just want any experiences of you guys going and what to expect!!!!! thanks

i have endometriosis but its not bad at the moment and i know u can concieve even though u have it.i just wanted to know if u havent concieved within 18months what is the next step,what tests are done to determine what the problem is,i know lots of people have this problem but dont actually know what they do if after uv had the basic tests done,ie scan and blood tests.

Hi basically me and my partner have been trying for 14 months to concieve. I have now been referred to the fertilty clinic, my appointment is in 6 weeks,
Ive have got Pcos and am taking metforming, i have recently had blood tests as i need to take the results with me, also my partner has had a semen specimen taken. So all in all we are pretty prepared.
I just want to know what they will do when we get, i know they will want to know our medical backround etc but will they start me on some sort of medication straight away or will that take more appointments and tests before they decide.
Also lost 15Ibs so far in the hope of becoming pregnant!
