Okay, so I’m worried. I’ve posted about my periods before but I’m still not sure. I don’t have insurance to go to a doctor so I just wanted a little insight, and maybe somebody has had some sort of my experience before. I’ve always had normal periods, but back in the beg. of January they’ve changed. The last two were lighter, w/no clots and was mainly spotting. This one lasted a day with no clots, and hardly no pms symptoms. I’m soooo scared I have pcos and I’ll either not be able to have children, or it’ll make it really difficult. I’m having real bad cramping right now. It feels like my period is about to come, and I feel pressure in my lower abdomen. I have some pregnancy symptoms like my breasts are fuller (not sore), lower and middle back pain, bloated, heartburn, emotional, constipation, but all negative hpt. I’ve read some women never get a positive hpt, but only a blood test positive. I don’t know what to think. I’m scared that I won’t ever be able to have children. Doesn’t infertility run in your family? My mom has 6 kids (two sets of twins), so I don’t see why it’s so hard for me to get pregnant. I was only on birth control for about a half a year, other than that I’ve never used protection with my boyfriend. Why does this have to happen to me? I feel so depressed. Everybody around me gets pregnant like it’s nothing, but not me. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi Everyone, I have been ttc for 15 months now! I went to see my doctor after we had been trying for 12 months and she did a Progesterone Test which came back ok and the doctor confirmed that I was ovulating. Next I had to go to the hospital for a smear like test and they have now made more appointments for me. One is for a blood test and one is for a Ultra Sound Scan. I also have to give a sample from by partner to make sure his sperm count it ok.
I just wondered if anyone else has been through these infertility tests and can give me any advice on what to expect as I am so nervous. The hospital have made another appointment for me on 31st December for the results and I am praying its not bad news.
I am trying so hard to be positive but the last 6 months I have been experiencing "spotting" a week before my period is due and without coming across too crude, its old blood rather than new. So now I’ve kind of convinced myself something is wrong !
Any genuine advice appreciated

Hello..

I have started the infertility investigation with NHS. I went for my first appointment on the 29th Oct at St Helier Hospital (Sutton SM)
They gave me have loads of home work to do; blood test, sperm sample.. ect..
Once I have done all the exams I will need to see the consultant to discuss the outcome of the tests… However the first available appointment just to discuss the exams will be the 13 May 2009!! Yes.. It is shocking but that is what it is.

The lady that booked the appointment with said that once I have done all the exams I can call them to see if someone cancelled and move my appointment forward.
I was thinking to call them every day till they get fed up of me.. Or if I get fed up first I would go private.

Once I have all the exams if I decide to go private is the NHS Hospital obliged to transfer all my exams and paper work to a private hospital if I ask them to do so? In that way I can have a erlier consultation.

Anyone had the same experience?

Any suggestion?
I’m very much desperate and cannot certainly wait 7 months just to have a consultation to know what is wrong.

TTC #1 for 20 months.

I am 27 year old female who had two kids with my x-husband. My current husband and I are tyring to get pregnant for over a year now, he just got tested and he range within the moderate mode for fertility (17). The doctor said that we should be able to get pregnant with a moderate fertility sperm count, however it does not seem to be working and I am just feeling sad each time, does anyone have any suggestions or advice on what we can do to better our chances? please help.
I had pap smear and blood test not too long before he got tested. My doctor said I was normal. Are there more test or other test that I should get done?
Both my husband and I rarely drink and we don’t smoke.
