Im having issues with my fertility treatment, please help me with some advice!1?

Hi i am a pcos sufferer & am desperate to get pregnant but am failing badly!!!

I have been having treatment for 5 years & none of the drugs made even the slightest change until i was put on the Menopur daily injections. for the first time in 5 years my follicles started to grow. my first cycle they grew to 10mm but they shrunk, i was sent away with norethisterone to have a period & start again, on my second cycle after 2 weeks they were 8mm (i understand they have to be 19mm) but the nurse i saw said that there was no point in continuing with my treatment as it clearly wasn’t working and she cancelled my treatment after 2 months despite fact it the first time in 5 years that drugs have made a difference. Since last week i have been getting really bad niggly pains in the area where my ovaries are and now i have started to have spotting. This is the first time in 2 years that i have bled naturally without medication, but they say it’s not working!!
Has anyone else had this??

Have u ever though about go off everything and trying herbs! I would highly suggest that u read “The Infertility Cure”. Its one of the best books! I learned do much about my self and what is going on and why! After only changing a few things in my diet and some herbs my monthly was totally different thins month! I was already taking several of the herbs she talks about! She go into detail why your body it doing what its doing and what you can do to fix it! There are quizzes u can take and she also has a chart for pressure point u can do your self! It is my new bible! I say it’s a must read for every woman! TTC or not!

I have not been in your exact situation . . . but after 5 years with the same doctors, I would consider getting a second opinion especially as it sounds if you are starting to respond to the meds.

    Good luck and baby dust!

I highly agree with Tina on finding another clinic. It doesn’t sound like your nurses has a very nice bedside manner. It is also recommended if you are not successful after two attempts at one clinic that you change clinics. You can check out your clinic and other clinic’s success rates here http://sart.org/

I agree with Angie too! That book is amazing!

There are a couple of reasons why your ovaries are hurting. The stimulation med (Menopur) causes your ovaries to grow…big! I have gone through IVF cycles where my ovaries were stimulated and they get sore! Also, there could be a chance that you developed a cyst. It can happen when your ovaries are stimulated. It happened to me! I felt a pinching feeling on each ovary (I had one on each side). It took a little time but they both went away naturally.

I’m sure your spotting has to do with stopping your cycle. I would call your doctor and let them know to be on the safe side.

I highly suggest you look elsewhere for treatment. The good news is that you found Menopur works for you (It works for me too!). Maybe a higher dose will do the trick next time!

    Good luck to you!
