I’ve looked up the government health website and done various interbet searches. But I don’t really want to have to go out of the country (eg. Spain) or go with a fertility clinic I don’t know anyhting about. I’d like to go through the NHS.
Has anyone else done this and do you have any advice for me?

Hi
Go to the website of the National Gamete Donation Trust http://www.ngdt.co.uk-the national body dealing with egg and sperm donation. They have a list with all the clinics offering egg donation.

I asked and received information from a private clinic and read all the information. Visit a clinic and then make up your mind.
Why not try NHS direct and ask them fo the phone number.
Good luck.

Hello
What an amazing thing you are considering. I am currently pregnant with my own little miracle baby (through Frozen Embryo Transfer) and intend to donate my own eggs once I have given birth. I am always humbled when I hear of others considering it.
Anyway, to answer your question. If you would really like to go through the NHS then I would contact your local hospital/nhs board and ask if there is an assisted conception unit where you live or one that is nearby. If they say yes then ask for the number and give the clinic a call. Ask if they do egg donation and ask them to send out the info about it.
This is to the donation part of the website for the UK regulatory body:-
http://www.hfea.gov.uk/en/271.html
this might give you some useful into if you haven’t found it already.
This is the link to the clinic search of the HFEA website:-

You can use this to search for clinics in your area and find NHS clinics.
Wishing you the best of luck!
Indigo
