Hi there, I’m 30 yrs old and ttc for 9 months. My doctor suspects a luteal phase defect and has given me femara to try to correct the problem. He has also run a sonogram to check my uterine lining which showed no problems, he also found a cyst on my left side which may or may not be functional. No more tests have been run at this time since it’s only been 9 months. Has anybody tried femara? If so, have you had any results? I have heard that femara has less side effects than clomid so I am feeling optimistic.

Hi there, I’ve been on both Femara and Clomid. My body didn’t respond as well to Femara vs. the Clomid, however the Clomid did the mood swing thing and the hot flashes. You are also 30, I was about 38 when I was on Femara, so you will probably respond much better, age is everything when TTC. Good Luck to you!!!!

I have a friend who tried it and worked really well at lenthening her LP from 6days to 12. I don’t about side affects but I used clomid and those were pretty harsh.
